Appointing a New County Party Vice-Chair1 min read

Fellow Republican Leaders

As you know, at the October 25 meeting of the Iron County Republican Central Committee, our chairman, Andrew Young indicated his intent to resign as chair due to his moving out of state. That moves me into the chairman’s position.

Due to Andrew’s resignation, we now have a vacancy in the Iron CountyExecutive Committee. We welcome your recommendations of willing registered Republicans in your precinct to fill this void. Please note that the Iron CountyRepublican Party Constitution requires Party officers and delegates to “declare their support of, or objections to the state platform”.

The next big responsibility for the replacement we appoint, along with the rest of the Executive Committee, will be conducting the 2019 county convention (no later than Aug 15), where new County Executive Committee members and At-Large members of the County Central Committee will be elected/reelected. At that point, the term of the new appointee will end, but may run for reelection.

Please send me (blaine@nullnay.org) a brief summary of why you think each person you recommend would serve the Party well. We need your recommendations no later than Midnight, Friday, December 21.

We will then meet as an Executive Committee to consider the recommendations, then call another meeting of the Iron County Republican Central Committee to ratify our choice.

Thank you for your service to your neighborhood and to the Iron County Utah Republican Party.

Blaine Nay
Iron County GOP Chair
