Fellow Iron County Republicans,
Our biennial Iron County Utah Republican Party Organizing Convention will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 27, at Canyon View High School (166 West 1925 North, Cedar City).
The purpose of this event is to elect new officers for the Iron County Utah Republican Party. While anyone may attend, county delegates are expected to participate as part of their civic duty. The agenda is attached.
The Iron Republican County Central Committee consists of the County Party Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer; the At-large State Central Committee members, the Chair and Vice-Chair of each voting precinct elected at the most recent precinct caucus (2018) and elected Iron County officials who are registered Republicans. All are invited and expected to attend and vote at this convention.
In preparation for this convention, we call for nominees to serve in the following positions on the Iron County Republican Party Executive Committee (registered Republicans may nominate themselves):
Iron county is also entitled to elect two At-Large State Central Committee Members.
Nominees for all six positions must be eighteen years of age and registered Republicans. Each is expected to support the Utah Republican Party Platform or to declare personal exceptions to the Platform, if any. Of course, all party officers are expected to represent county Republicans by regularly attending, and voting in, applicable meetings and conventions.
The term of office is approximately two years starting at the date of seating and ending, if unseated and replaced, at the next county organizing convention.
Qualified persons who would like to run for office on the Executive Committee or the State Central Committee may place their name in nomination by writing a letter of intent to the Executive Committee no later than 2 PM on Saturday, April 13. Send your letter of intent or nomination to:
