The types of military equipment useful for county officers are those used to ensure officer safety.

What enforcement authority do federal agencies have in the county and how can the Sheriff prevent federal overreach?

The Sheriff prevents overreach by first building relationships with federal authorities which I have done, then when a person has violated federal law we work together to achieve the best outcome.

What is your position regarding “civil asset forfeiture”

Civil asset forfeiture can be abused, and should be limited to only extreme cases

How do you propose to reduce the harm done to our community resulting from drug abuse? Do you think there are better ways to combat this problem?

A lot has been and is being done in Iron County to combat the drug problems. Despite the limitations the law places on us we need to continue to; educate, use great officer and prosecutorial discretion and work together to curb the problem.
