Dear Fellow Iron County Republicans,
Over the past four years, we’ve faced significant challenges with mail-in voting that have led to many voices in our community going unheard. In the general elections of 2021 and 2022, ballot mailing delays due to reliance on third-party vendors resulted in thousands of ballots being undelivered to voters’ homes, potentially disenfranchising many. Similarly, during the June 2024 Primary Election, over 400 ballots from Iron County residents went uncounted due to postmark issues, even though many voters reported mailing them on time.
These incidents highlight the vulnerabilities and uncertainties inherent in relying on mail-in voting as the primary method for casting our ballots. Issues like delayed postmarking, ballots being sent out of state for processing, and reliance on the postal system introduce too many unknowns between you and your vote being counted.
To ensure your voice is heard and your vote is counted, we strongly encourage you to vote in person in the upcoming elections. In-person voting with a government-issued photo ID eliminates the risks associated with mail delays and processing errors. It puts control back in the hands of the people, ensuring that your ballot is securely and promptly counted on Election Day.
Let’s come together to restore confidence in our elections by choosing the most reliable method available. By voting in person, you help safeguard the integrity of our democratic process for all residents of Iron County.
If you do choose to vote by mail, we encourage you to do everything you can to ensure your ballot arrives early to avoid your ballot being uncounted. This means either dropping your ballot of at one of the ballot drop boxes, or mailing it in as early as possible, giving your ballot time to find it’s way to the clerk’s office in time to be properly counted.
Thank you for your participation in our election process. Our Republic depends upon voters being active, involved, informed, and in voting.
Sincerely,
The Iron County Republican Party Executive Committee
